In regards to the actual cables, there are all types of requests when you are dedicated to custom cable assemblies. Most of the data centers have color codes for the types of services their servers run or applications where they use the cable. Others, may need to have the cable blend in color with their infrastructure and this is why the use a specific color that could disguise and hide to the naked eye. The challenge to us comes up when there are specific deadlines for the custom cables that we need to meet, and the specific type of cable is out of reach because of its color. Here, we present to the customer the range of options based on the feedback we get from our custom cable house.
Then, we have and let him determine if the lead time is acceptable to him/her and the company. Based on the customer feedback, we make decision on how expedite the wire and we prioritize our work to have the cable made once the materials in. While it is not easy to always make thing happen in a blink of an eye, we always provide status progress though emails to our customers. This makes them aware of the progress of the cable and keeps them informed of what is happening. In return, customers appreciate our customer service and we get a lot of referrals. We like to think that our internal processes and the work we do with our vendors makes us be attractive to do business with.
We strongly believe that you as a customer depend on our work and this gives us the motivation to always improve. We revise our internal processes if we feel we can change something to make you receive the product faster. In addition, we communicate with our vendors on a regular basis to guarantee quality and find how we can get better prices. If we can get a better price, rest assure that we will pass the offer back to the customer.
